As many of you know there are some pretty sweet spots in the clemson area for awesome lake stuff. When the weather is good, I love nothing more than heading out to do something awesome at the lake, so I've decided to compile a list of awesome lake adventures worth checking out!
Issaqueena Lake
Ok, so it's not the biggest lake in the world, but its awesome. I'm sure you know about the trails to run and bike, but there are also some awesome things to do in the water here. If swimming in the lake isn't enough for you, there is a pretty awesome dam at the bottom of the lake and feeds into hartwell. The dam is about 40 feet high and really slippery. This means, one sick slide. If you want to slide down it you need to be careful of rebar that exists along its surface. Your safest bet is to swim to the dead center of the dam and slide right down the middle. This way you get the best water flow and you avoid the rebar. Be careful as this can be very dangerous. It is super fun, but don't get too stupid with it.
Right below the dam is probably the best rope swing I've ever done. It is just high enough to be awesome, but not too high to be deadly. You can find it if you go to the parking area and look for the trail off to your right side. Not too hard to find
This is the dam at higher water at it looks much less intimidating. Most of the time it is significantly higher than this because the water is lower.
