Section 5: West Campus

The YMCA beach area is pretty popular for running and other outdoor activities, but few people know about the dirt roads and trails that lie up by the wind testing facilities slightly west of the YMCA. There are a few nice trails in this area, and some cool spots. The trail branching off to the left in the picture is pretty awesome. There is a point in the valley where there is a small land bridge separating a pond from the rest of the lake connected only by a creek. The northern areas are mostly power roads, however someone has expanded these roads and likely attempted to make an offroad course in this area. I only recently started exploring this area more, so this map is likely to be updated in the future. According to the map below, the dirt power roads continue off across 123 and near hart's cove. I'm hoping to explore this area after spring break.
